Kauaʻi is best seen from the water and the air
The Na Pali Coast has no road. The island’s wettest, steepest valleys have no trails most people can do. That is why tours matter more here than on any other island.
Start here: a morning Na Pali boat tour in summer, or a helicopter flight any time of year if you want the canyon and waterfalls too.
Timing
Summer is the calmest time on the north and west coasts. Winter, roughly October to March, brings bigger waves and wind, and some sea cave trips run only from May to September. Book boats in the morning, before the afternoon trade winds.
